i've been seesawing back and forth on light fixtures for some time now (read six months) i have a huge fear of buying the wrong thing and of course i have been trolling the interwebs because I'm not happy with what I see in the local home stores. It is difficult to balance classic and modern. We have three lights that need replacing in very high traffic areas. I had a them all pre-purchased in my mind and then i decided to confer with M who agreed on only one of them, sad. The picture above is the light that we actually agree on, a handblown glass sphere encased Edison bulb, for only $149, or only $124! if you count the 4 year old gift card that I used to buy this baby from pottery barn
this is from anthropologie for a cool $398
or this beauty from ylighting
found on remodelista for $475
So pottery barn might not be your speed but don't underestimate it. xo
some other light ideas that i've been eyeing, schoolhouse electric (thanks to anna at door sixteen) and remodelista
